Technology used in construction projects such
as Heathrow's Terminal Five
Founders Chris Rasmussen and Jon Scott led a management buyout
from Boart Longyear UK to set up ITM, and subsequently conducted
a reverse takeover of Soil Instruments in 2002. The Sussex group
now manufactures and sells equipment that detects soil and ground
movement in civil-engineering and construction projects. It recently
won contracts from Network Rail and Terminal Five at Heathrow.
Sales have soared 249% a year from £380,000 in 2003 to £4.6m
in 2005.
“This is an exciting achievement and reflects our investment
in updating existing products, developing new technology and working
together with a great team of people.”
